From Pastries to Butterflies: A Life Led by Passion and Fate

My journey has taken me across kitchens, event halls, and even across the ocean. I started my career as a pastry chef at Tabor Hill Restaurant, where I paired wine with decadent desserts like chocolate truffles, key lime pies, and delicate cream puffs. That experience eventually led me to Ireland, where I ran a B&B in Cork, rising before dawn to prepare breakfast and welcome guests from around the world.

But fate had its own plans. Fifteen years ago, my long-distance boyfriend proposed to me right here—at Magic Wings. That moment tied my heart to this place forever. After getting married in Michigan, I moved to the East Coast, where I worked as a wedding and event planner at the Yankee Peddler in Holyoke, MA. Then came my most rewarding role of all—becoming a mother. During the pandemic, I returned to my roots, working at Black Jungle in Greenfield, MA, where I fell in love with tropical plants and dart frogs.

Looking back, every step of my life has led me here. Magic Wings isn’t just a business—it’s a dream unfolding in the most beautiful way.

Vytautas: The Fixer, The Builder, The Visionary

Yes, it’s a unique name! Vytautas (Lithuanian in origin) has always been a problem solver—taking things apart, fixing them, and making them better than before. Growing up on our family farm, he not only learned how to grow things but how to make them thrive. He pursued a degree in aerospace engineering from Western State University, blending his love for precision and mechanics.

For over 20 years, Vytautas created delicious confections for the St. Joseph Farmers Market, delighting the community with his craft. He also worked at Cook Nuclear Plant, where he mastered teamwork, safety, and efficiency. More recently, after a tragic fire destroyed our family home, he dedicated the past year to rebuilding it from the ground up—an act of love and determination that speaks to who he is.

Now, he’s ready for his next challenge: helping Magic Wings grow and evolve. His vision? To make this beloved sanctuary more energy-efficient, sustainable, and strong for generations to come. He sees the heart and value in Magic Wings, and he’s eager to bring fresh ideas to ensure its future is as bright as its past.
